Hi, I’m Christy and here’s the truth: I never planned to be here.

My career was full of pivots, reinventions, and those “messy middle” moments that no leadership book prepared me for. Those experiences are what shaped me and why I care so deeply about helping people navigate their own transitions.

That journey became the heart of Wayfinding, my newest book and framework for moving through change with clarity and confidence. It’s built around four guideposts: Self-Awareness, Self-Alignment, Self-Trust, and Self-Worth. Because real growth doesn’t happen when life goes as planned. It happens when we learn to find our way when the map disappears.

“As you learn and explore the importance of the Wayfinding Compass and its cardinal directions of Self-Awareness, Self-Alignment, Self-Trust, and ultimately Self-Worth, Christy will help you break through the noise that comes from outside of you and tap into the boundless momentum you can build through the person you have always been."

Ready for a little truth bomb?

I started out in corporate America, chasing titles and trying to prove myself. I thought I was doing everything “right” until life threw me curveballs that forced me to reinvent myself — more than once.

Those experiences became the foundation for EDGE Leadership, which I launched in 2013, and ultimately led to the creation of our PEER Technology® model. I realized leaders didn’t need more theory; they needed spaces to grow together and learn how to navigate transition, not just change.

Life reminded me that growth doesn’t happen in straight lines. I’ve walked through divorce, motherhood, loss, entrepreneurship, and every “what now?” moment in between. Each one taught me something about trust, resilience, and what really matters.

Change is what happens to us: a new role, a layoff, a child leaving for college, a company reorganization, a health crisis, or loss. Transition is different. It is the inner process by which we find meaning through that change, the part no one teaches us how to do. And it is the birthplace of resilience.

At EDGE, we’ve spent more than a decade helping people build the emotional agility to lead through disruption, including the kind ushered in by rapid advances in technology and AI. Wayfinding gives people the tools and community to build momentum through transition so they can move forward with clarity, alignment, and self-trust in an ever-changing world.

Bringing Humanity Back to Leadership

Today, I coach, speak, and consult on leadership reinvention—helping people at every level embrace change and build healthy, sustainable cultures where both people and businesses thrive.

I don’t stand on a stage pretending to have all the answers. I pull up a chair beside people and help them see they’re not alone, not behind, and fully capable of building the clarity, confidence, and connection they need. That’s the heart of my work: bringing humanity back into leadership development and helping people cultivate the growth mindsets that lead to real, lasting change.

Home is Pittsburgh, where I live with my husband, Kevin, and our two white German Shepherds, Theodore Roosevelt and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. I believe in nervous system resets, deep conversations, and really good coffee.
